The raid was conducted at Lokman’s home in Monipuripara area of Tejgaon around Wednesday midnight, RAB 2 Commanding Officer Lt Col Ashik Billah confirmed Dhaka Tribune.
He said Lokman, also a director at Bangladesh Cricket Board, was taken into custody for keeping illegal foreign liquor in his home without any permit.
The raid came three days after another drive shut down illegal gambling operations inside Mohammedan Sporting Club in Motijheel.
During that raid on Sunday, police had seized two roulette tables and nine betting boards from the club's premise. They had also found 12 walkie-talkies, knives and money counting machines.
Lokman will be questioned further over the casino, Lt Col Billah added.
According to media reports, since the raid, Lokman has been claiming that he was forced to rent the club’s room for gambling activities facing “political pressure.”
